About Jane Dayus-Hinch

I have been the only British long standing, self taught Wedding and event planner for 36 years. I have planned and organised over 2000+ weddings of every faith and culture, custom and tradition.

I met my first Bride at aged 4, and from that moment to this – I have lived and breathed weddings as my lifelong passion.

I (1981-92)worked for the prestigious Philip Morris (Marlboro cigarettes) as a the National Drive Team Sales Manager (responsible for 36 sales people). Then was head hunted by PepsiCo for Smiths and Walkers Crisps as their National Sales Training Manager.

I also worked as the ‘Sponsorship Manager’ for The Lichfield International Arts Festival – personally raising over £200,000 (in 6 months) to stage Lesley Garrett and CBSO in concert.

My forte is planning and organising anything from a small private party, through to a large corporate event, and every occasion that requires meticulous planning and timings.

I have organised Greek weddings for 1800 people, fashion shows with 12 designers, product launches for a major land moving equipment company (JCB)

major lighting trade fair, numerous and various wedding fairs, large New Years Eve celebrations (and specialist in marquee / tented events). Nothing is too extreme in my business!

Because of my wide range of skills and expertise in this field, I have ‘evolved’ over the years to become a fountain of all knowledge wedding related, including wedding etiquette, various customs and traditions and valuable hints and tips.

In 2005 I was head hunted for a pilot show in France by Cineflix (Canada). It was green lit for me to host my own TV series called ‘Wedding SOS’ (5 seasons over 6 years) where I showed my humour and dedication to all the couples and everyone I work with (see YouTube 72 episodes). I was based in New York and Toronto.

As a professional Guild Toastmaster (MC) I not only organise and plan the event – Im there to also be ‘front of house’ and make sure everything runs to time and be dealt with in a professional manner.

I am also a Wedding Celebrant and have performed at a variety of venues across the world including Estonia, Egypt and New York.

I hosted the Toronto wedding show 17 times (spring and Fall shows) to an audience of over 3000 Brides.

I also designed and wrote ‘plan your wedding in a day’ for couples to be able to produce a bespoke plan with my guidance.

I was the ‘anchor’ for Global tv at Prince Williams’ wedding as the Wedding Guru and Fairy Godmother. It was the pinnacle of my career.

I have also hosted ‘Proms in The Park (12,000+ people) in 2011/2012 and acted as compere at the annual Mayors fashion show for Country Casual Clothing.

I am also an after-dinner speaker, I have travelled extensively, speaking to Ladies Groups, Business and Networking functions, conferences, etc using humour and real-life experiences to entertain a wide range of audiences.

I developed and wrote a degree course in wedding planning for Centennial College and attained my own BA degree in Hospitality and Hotel Business Management with events at aged 60 (2019)

I wrote and compiled the first wedding planning app The number 1 wedding planning app – for iPads.
