Emma Jesson is a popular face of ITV Weather. Frequently recognised for her sunny “Bye Bye” sign-off, she originally trained to be a vet, but side-stepped into TV in her year off.
She started as a colourful, quirky regular on national breakfast TV and can currently be seen presenting the weather anywhere across the UK – – she is especially well-known in the Midlands and all northern regions as well as Wales, and opts into Good Morning Britain.
Right now, during the Covid-19 Coronavirus lockdown, Emma is self-recording her very first set of VIRTUAL awards presentations and paving the way for the future to allow companies to continue with their previously planned awards ceremonies, online.
Emma produces and presents news and weather features, and is particularly at home in her wellies presenting countryside programmes for the network. She also presented a monthly online wealth investment programme and has many strings to her bow. Emma relishes glamming it up for all the live events she hosts… …and she LOVES ‘live’. Emma takes ‘thinking on her feet’ in her stride.
She specialises in hosting awards ceremonies, conferences and company away days throughout the UK and Europe. Emma enjoys engaging the audi- ence with her natural warmth, presence and gentle humour, and has carved out a strong corporate niche for herself hosting events for clients such as Na- tional Grid, Cadent, Enzen Global, CPhi Pharma, RESI, FedEx, BT, The Law Society, NHS, Northern Marketing Awards, Institute of Asian Businesses, IoD and the British Chambers of Commerce. She’s also taken on TV and film cameo roles.
She records online video content for a variety of companies and her versatile personality and experience make her an accomplished Media Trainer.
As well as fronting videos for household names like Kellogg’s, Sony and Coca Cola, you’ve probably heard her voice on TV and radio ads across the coun- try. She also presents catwalk and fashion shows.
Emma is regularly booked to host racedays, ‘empowering ladies’ gatherings and a number of community events… carer awards, business awards, sports, enterprising women, Christmas shows, environmental and renewables awards…as well as various charitable events and light-hearted ladies’ nights.
She hosted for the NHS at the House of Lords, as well as co-hosting a royal visit to the Midlands and the launch of a new green energy company. She’s also spent time in Switzerland and London as a presenter for Sony.
Away from the day job Emma is a former carer and enjoys dinner and a musical, sailing, windsurfing and scuba, languages, comedy and cooking… a spot of reformer pilates – and when there’s time – sleeping. Sadly she has had to turn down the offer of panto again this year, but there’s plenty of time for that. ‘Oh yes there is!’
